From what I heard, they has stopped development on finobe.net (the main) to focus on a re-written backend finobe.net.
The current backend made it impossible to develop a 2012 client, which is why they are doing a re-write for Finobe. Yes, that means 2016 and 2012 clients are being delayed unless they want to publish 2016 client without 2012.
